Raise Funding for Vet Surgery

Coco is a beautiful and sweet big Bullmastiff x Australian Bandog puppy. He is only 15 months old and he loves to play, run jump and play with his family. They adopted him a year ago from another family who had to unexpectedly leave the country. He has an abundance of energy and loves to play tag and fetch. 

We love him, and now he is going through a very difficult time.  After an accident at home, we immediately knew something was wrong and rushed him to the first open vet that we could find at the time. After an anxious wait, they informed us that his front left leg was broken.

A night in that veterinarian and $1,500 later (for some X-rays and some pain meds) they told us they could do nothing more for him there, but amputate his leg or put him down! They said they would have to refer him to a specialist orthopedic surgeon and the surgery would cost us up to $8K!!! – and even then… he could still lose his leg. It was a traumatic experience, to say the least. 

To lose his leg is a tough choice because although many dogs adapt quite well… Coco is a big boy (43Kg) and he needs his 2 front legs more than anything!

Before we had lost all hope, we kept searching for someone who can help, we have now found an orthopaedist vet who has said that he can do the surgery, and it should be successful… if we keep Coco 8 weeks in a crate, as still as possible so the healing will be successful.
